Shoes for Escuella Luz
In 2008 Random Acts was introduced to the Vargas family after they tragically lost their son to murder. Their son, Lawrence C. Vargas, was a high school student in Albuquerque who had a compassionate heart for his fellow students. As Lawrence walked around his high school he would notice children who had worn down, used up shoes and couldn't afford to replace them. He would buy them a new pair of shoes and slip it into their locker giving them the gift secretly.
Random Acts wanted to come along side his family and continue his legacy. We decided to go back to Escuella Luz Del Mundo, where we had previously installed heaters,he event was great and the children were so very grateful. Many of the children put the new shoes on instantly and we grinning from ear to ear.
We are planning on doing this event again on a much larger scale if you are looking for opportunities to partner up with us. Please feel free to contact us to see how you can help.
